The publisher is responsible for outside content only if he has positive knowledge of it (i.e. also of illegal or prosecutable content) and it is technically possible and reasonable for the publisher to prevent it. Protection of your privacy and personal data is very important to us. Therefore, we naturally comply with the provisions of the federal data protection act (BDSG).
This law’s purpose is to protect the individual from violation of his personal rights through handling of his personal data. Below we inform you of how we handle such data.
Data collection, storage and use
Almost every browser sends information on browser type and version, on the operating system you are using, the date and time of the server query, from which website you have come (the “referrer”), the location at the tim of the internet access point, the names of the sub-sites, the access status and the amount of data transferred. Normally, these data cannot be assigned to a specific person. We use such information internally for statistical purposes only, so as to optimize our Internet offerings. They are therefore stored only temporarily and are deleted as soon as we no longer need them.
This site uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like shopping carts, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.
Your federal data protection rights
We process and use your personal data only with your consent, or if you entrust it to us by e-mail or our contact form for internal response to queries, internal processing of contracts, or for internal technical administration (such as in password-protected customer areas). You can revoke your consent at any time. To do this, simply send an e-mail to public(at)purpose-brands.com.
Your data is generally not passed on to third parties, except when an external service provider assists us in fulfilling a given task. Even in that case, your information is processed only for the purpose for which you have provided us your personal information, such as for executing a contract or processing a nonbinding request. Once we no longer need your data for this purpose, we immediately delete it. We never provide your data to unauthorized parties and never sell it.
You furthermore have the right to information on your stored data, the purpose for which it is stored, and the process by which it is handled. It is also your right to have us correct false data on you immediately, to revoke authorization for use of your data, to have the data deleted, or — if deletion is too technically demanding — to have it blocked from further use.
If you would like to know more about how we process your personal data, we would be happy to provide you with a public list of procedures. Just send an informal request to public(at)purpose-brands.com.
Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses what are called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and allow analysis of your use of the website.
The information that the cookie generates about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to Google’s servers in the United States and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website to compile website activity reports for website operators, so that they can furnish further services associated with the use of websites and the Internet. When necessary, Google will also provide this information to third parties as long as this is allowed by law, and as long as these third parties process this data on behalf of Google.
Google will never associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent installation of cookies by making the appropriate settings to your browser. However, please note that in that case you will not be able to use this website’s full range of functionality. By using this website, you consent to Google’s processing of data collected about you in the manner mentioned above and for the aforementioned purpose.
Consent to future data collection and storage can be revoked at any time. You can deactivate the Google Analytics function by using a browser add-on. If desired, the end user can install a browser add-on to prevent analysis information from being sent to Google. This is possible with the browsers Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera and has proven to be a successful, efficient solution for users. In regard to the use of analysis tools with complete IP addresses, it should be noted that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()” and therefore processes only abridged IP addresses in order to prevent personal identification.
To withdraw consent for future general data collection and storage by Google Analytics, you can download an appropriate browser extension.
